El objetivo principal de la presente tesis doctoral se centra en el análisis de la influencia que ejerció la fiesta como elemento transformador de la ciudad de Valencia durante los siglos XVI y XVII. Nuestra investigación se configuró a través de un estudio bicéfalo en el que por un lado tratamos de profundizar en el urbanismo valenciano y por otro, en el mundo festivo. Learning to synthesise contradictions: an Austrian approach to bridging time concepts in the strategic theory of the firm

Moving from an inquiry on the notions of time underlying strategy studies, in this paper we lay the groundwork for the elaboration of a multitemporal view of the firm. We draw on the Austrian process view in economic studies and on Nonaka's idea of synthesising capabilities to formulate a methodological framework which consents the elaboration of a multitemporal view of the resource-based firm, in which different time concepts are bridged and main actor behaviours crucial for prolonged firm success are encompassed. Il taccuino e le lettere di Weininger completano e integrano il profilo dell'autore di Sesso e carattere, un libro che esercita un'influenza enorme nell'Europa del primo Novecento per le sue tirate antisemite e misogine. Ingiustamente trascurati, questi scritti raccolgono aforismi e appunti per una futura caratteriologia e simbolica della natura e alcune lettere ai contemporanei, tra cui spiccano quelle ad August Strindberg. Scritte durante il suo viaggio tra Germania, Danimarca, Norvegia e Italia, queste ultime pagine testimoniano di una fulminante precocità intellettuale e delle possibilità di sviluppo del filosofo Weininger oltre Sesso e carattere.
Evaluating the potential for evolutionary mismatch in Batesian mimics: A case study in the endangered smooth snake (Coronella austriaca)

Many harmless organisms gain a survival advantage by mimicking venomous species. This is the case of the endangered smooth snake (Coronella austriaca), which mimics venomous vipers. Although this may protect the smooth snake against most of its natural predators, it may render them at greater risk of mortality from humans, who are more inclined to kill species, such as vipers, that they consider dangerous. This may cause an evolutionary mismatch, whereby humans may counteract the natural advantage of mimicry. The finding at the National Library of Spain of an eighteenth-century engraving of the bridge over the river Milicia, along the coast to the east of Palermo, is a chance not only to shed light on the complex history of the design and construction of one of the main Sicilian bridges, but also to attribute the real paternity rather than to the famous architect Ferdinando Fuga to the lesser-known military engineer, serving the Austrian Crown, Michelangelo Blasco, whose long and successful career is reconstructed: from Sicily, through Milan, Wien and Lisbon, to the uncharted territory of Brazil.

La presente tesis doctoral presenta la recensio, edición y estudio de 27 relaciones de sucesos y otros opúsculos breves escritos en torno a los cuatro matrimonios del rey Felipe II, sucedidos de manera cronológica, con doña María Manuela de Portugal en 1543, la reina inglesa María Tudor en 1554, doña Isabel de Valois en 1559 y su sobrina Ana de Austria en 1570. La actividad tipográfica producida a raíz de dichas nupcias fue extensa y de gran relevancia nacional e internacional a causa de los intereses políticos, económicos y sociales que comportaban, pero también encontramos numerosos testimonios manuscritos que narraron los cuatro eventos. Monaster bazylianów w Wechracie w świetle dokumentów sporządzonych przed jego kasatą w 1808 roku

W roku 1808 zostały sporządzone inwentarze, m.in. „Realności klasztoru bazyliańskiego werchrackiego”, dzięki którym można w przybliżeniu ocenić jego sytuację materialną. Dokumenty te są obecnie częścią zasobu Centralnego Państwowego Archiwum Historycznego Ukrainy we Lwowie. Klasztor należał wówczas do diecezji przemyskiej, dekanatu potylickiego i cyrkułu żółkiewskiego. Przyczyną podjęcia pracy nad inwentarzem była planowana konfiskata mienia werchrackich bazylianów. Okazało się jednak, że z powodu zaniedbania kasata została odsunięta w czasie, a dostępne dzisiaj regestry nie były pierwszą próbą dokonania spisu dóbr należących do bazylianów w tym trudnym okresie.
